ToA'd

I guess the event itself wasnt that bad, the people in charge seemed to think we were going to have hundreds upon hundreds of people attending. Which of course turned out to be around 150 by the time the event ended.

I had to be standing at the front gate @ 0730 waiting in the freezing cold morning air till 1000 hours when people where to start showing up!
Needles to say myself and the 50 other soldiers who where voluntold to be there to escort local national civilians. We would walk them from the gate, to a bus, then ride the bus to where the event was to be held and simply watch over them while they were at the event. I guess some one thought they might get lost and not find the only entrance/exit they came in. And or not make it onto the bus that takes them back to the gate.
Even if they somehow escaped our watchful gaze, they dont have the proper ID to do anything on this post... not even buy a meal from Burger King.
As soon as the event ended I made a mad dash for the exit and removed my ever so stylish reflective belt and went to lunch. Thats just about all that really happened that day.
